Taking care of human health is the highest value of society and the state, and is one of the priorities of Turkmenistan's state policy. Guided by the motto made by the President of Turkmenistan, “The Motherland is the Motherland only with the people! The state is a state only with the people!”, new, higher goals and objectives are being set to improve the work of the domestic healthcare system.
Modern rehabilitation is a whole complex of rehabilitation measures, the main purpose of which is to restore the physical and mental health of a person who has been impaired as a result of illnesses, traumatic conditions, and surgical interventions. Rehabilitation is one of the most demanded areas of medicine, necessary for returning to an active and independent life.
The first rehabilitation center is a unique medical facility where the efforts of highly qualified specialists aimed at restoring the health of patients after various injuries and diseases are gathered. The center is equipped with modern robotic rehabilitation and medical equipment, which makes it possible to restore body functions as efficiently as possible. The structure of the rehabilitation center includes various departments treating both children and adults:

The departments have rooms for X-ray and ultrasound examinations, as well as electromyography, electroencephalography and densitometry.
Today, Kinesiotherapy and Hydrotherapy Departments are important components of the rehabilitation process after diseases, injuries and operations. The departments have developed an individual set of exercises for each patient, which makes it possible to effectively solve the tasks of rehabilitation treatment. The departments have high-tech equipment that meets international standards. CAREN Extended Rehabilitation Complex from Motek Medical is an innovative virtual reality system and a laboratory for motion video analysis. This unique system deeply analyzes the biomechanics of movement and allows comprehensive functional rehabilitation for both children and adults. Virtual rehabilitation equipment GRAIL Motek Medical combines clinical analysis and balance and gait training using state-of-the-art technology. The system is designed for patients with disorders caused by neurological, orthopedic or other diseases. The unique underwater treadmill with adjustable speed, HydroWorx RISE activates more muscle groups and significantly reduces the load on the musculoskeletal system. The Rehabilitation Departments provide high-tech and comprehensive therapy for children and adults aimed at restoring physical activity. During the classes, modern robotic and computerized technologies are used, as well as mechanotherapy to optimize recovery processes. An individual approach to each patient makes it possible to create effective and motivating biofeedback rehabilitation programs. The Habilitation Department provides specialized support to young children with developmental disabilities and their families. Our goal is to improve the quality of life of children and their active participation in society. The department's specialists strive to create optimal conditions for the functioning of children in everyday life, improve interaction with parents, increase their competence in parenting, and promote social integration.
The Rehabilitation Center has children's and adult inpatient units with 50 beds each. The departments are specially organized to provide comprehensive and effective rehabilitation of patients with diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system, cardiovascular system, musculoskeletal system, as well as for the improvement and development of motor skills in children. Comprehensive diagnostics and therapy of sleep disorders are carried out in the department to improve the health of patients.
The Neurorehabilitation Department has gyms equipped with high-tech equipment for performing all types of exercises for therapeutic rehabilitation. The Department also implements a complex of modern rehabilitation programs specifically designed for adults and children with diseases of the nervous system and suffering from the effects of strokes, brain and spinal cord injuries, as well as diseases of the peripheral nervous system, inflammatory and infectious processes in the central and peripheral nervous systems, cerebral palsy, as well as delayed mental, speech and psycho-motor development. To fully restore lost functions, specialists carry out comprehensive rehabilitation using the Aretech Zero G Gait and Balance Training System for walking and coordination training. Also, for intensive rehabilitation in the early stages of recovery, the department has a therapeutic simulator-stander Balance-Trainer THERA-Balo, a robotic vertical table Hocoma Erigo Pro with integrated orthopedic mechanism and built-in electrical stimulation, a treadmill Reha Stim Meditec Callis Trac 60E and robotic locomotor therapy Reha Stim Meditec - Gait Trainer GT. The Orthopedic Rehabilitation Department is a complex of therapeutic and preventive measures aimed at maximizing the recovery of lost functions in patients after injuries and surgical operations. The main task is to restore muscle strength, as well as to prevent recurrence of the disease and the occurrence of complications. The department uses modern rehabilitation complexes such as: biomechanical therapeutic diagnostic system Humac Norm, system for local cryopressotherapy Med4 Elite Game Ready, specialized antigravity treadmills Boost Microgravity Treadmills, robotic system for proprioceptive rehabilitation Movendo Technology SRL Hunova, training device Shuttle Systems, rehabilitation eccentric simulator Ecentron BTE, innovative device for passive-active knee rehabilitation CPM Opened Int Camo ped Knee, device for cryotherapy Zimmer Cryo 7 Pro.
The main purpose of the Cardio-Rehabilitation Department is to promote the restoration of physical and cardiovascular function after diseases or operations. The department offers comprehensive programs designed for both adults and children, taking into account their individual physiological and psychological needs. The department's specialists conduct cardio-training adapted to the level of physical fitness of patients in order to increase cardiorespiratory endurance and muscle strength. The department is equipped with a specialized line of cardio equipment and modern equipment, such as the Proxomed Kardiomed 700 Comfort Cycle horizontal bicycle ergometer, the Proxomed Kardiomed 521 Pluto innovative biologically active treadmill, the Aktiv Tramp FREI trampoline simulator, the NuStep LLC Tb Series horizontal cross trainer, Waldboden, Aste and Feldstein balancing boards, and a climbing system Kombi Maxi.
The Rehabilitation of Internal Diseases Department is aimed at restoring body functions and improving the quality of life of patients who have suffered from diseases of the respiratory system, gastrointestinal tract, genitourinary system and other internal organs. The main goals include reducing symptoms and preventing complications related to diseases of internal organs. The modern rehabilitation rooms of the department are equipped with innovative complexes such as: the kinesiotherapy Allcare Imoove 600 Medical Device, the Zimmer Medizin System Conticure pelvic floor muscle rehabilitation device, the Zimmer Medizin System Z TONE high-inductive therapy, Zimmer Medizin System Z LIPO cryolipolysis, the Redcord Workstation Professional Floor Stand sling therapy complex.
The main goals of the Hyperbaric Oxygenation Department are to increase oxygen levels in tissues to improve metabolic processes and faster healing. It helps to restore the functions of organs affected by diseases or injuries, and reduce the risk of infections and complications after surgery. The method is used for the treatment of such diseases and conditions in which improvement of microcirculation is required. Athletes use hyperbaric oxygenation to recover from intense training and reduce inflammation. It is used for the rehabilitation of children with the consequences of head injuries, in the treatment of children with delayed psycho-motor development and other disorders, as well as to help children with bronchial asthma and respiratory diseases. The Hyperbaric Oxygenation Department at the Rehabilitation Center plays a key role in complex therapy and recovery, ensuring the safety and effectiveness of treatment for patients of all ages.
