Dental Center of the Directorate of International Medical Centers

The Stomatological center of management of international mediсal centres opened on august 5, 2013, and has achieved significant success in healthcare over its 12 years of operation, keeping pace with the most advanced medical advances in all fields.

Over this period, our Stomatologcal center has earned a reputation for providing highly qualified care to the public and is the leading dental treatment and diagnostic center in Turkmenistan. The Center is equipped with state-of-the-art treatment and diagnostic equipment from leading global companies such as SIRONA, TENEO, IVOKLAR, KAVO, BEGO, SINIUS, and FROYDIND.

The Stomatological center is shaped like a tooth. The six-story building features spacious corridors, natural light in all offices, and a unified computer system that allows for the reception and storage of X-ray images from the X-ray department in each office. The Center also has two conference rooms: a small one and a large one that seats 200 people.

Patients are seen six days a week in two shifts. The Center is open from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm.

The Center has an Orthopedic department, a Therapeutic dentistry department, a Pediatric dentistry department, a Parodontology department, an Orthodontics department, a Dental disease prevention department, a Surgical dentistry department, an X-ray department, a department for emergency and urgent care at night, on weekends and holidays, and also has a powerful dental technical laboratory.

The Therapeutic dentistry department diagnoses and treats dental caries and its complications. Restoration is performed with modern filling materials, utilizing advanced nanotechnology. In endodontics, the SIRO endo POCKET device is used for ideal widening and precise filling of root canals with filling material. The new DIAGNOdent diagnostic device facilitates the early diagnosis of caries and non-carious lesions.

The Parodontology department treats diseases of the oral mucosa and periodontium. Treatment is performed following a comprehensive examination (laboratory, clinical, and radiographic) in collaboration with other specialists (general practitioners, endocrinologists, gynecologists, and pediatricians). Gum and mucosal treatments are administered medicinally, along with physiotherapy (electrophoresis, vacuum massage, darsonvalization, ultrasound, and UHF therapy). Surgical treatment of paroodontal diseases (flap procedures and open curettage of periodontal pockets using medications) is also being widely implemented. Orthopedic treatment of periodontal disease includes clasp splinting.

The dental disease prevention department focuses on the prevention and treatment of dental diseases. Doctors work both at the Stomatological center and at health centers throughout the city. The prevention department is one of the Center’s largest and most promising departments, as dental disease prevention encompasses the prevention of the onset and progression of not only oral diseases but also general health conditions. The implementation of prevention programs has led to a significant reduction in the incidence of dental caries and periodontal disease, a decrease in the incidence of tooth loss at a young age, and an increase in the number of children and adolescents with intact teeth. The department’s doctors conduct preventive examinations for the population and conduct examinations and rehabilitation for pregnant women. The primary methods of dental disease prevention include: dental education for the population, nutritional training, oral hygiene education, the use of endogenous fluoride preparations, the use of topical preventative agents (fluoride varnish, bellak, fissurit), and secondary prevention (oral rehabilitation). The department’s doctors successfully use new generation filling materials such as VENUS, PEARL, CHARISMA, and DURAFILL, the latest radiopaque, nanohybrid material for the aesthetic restoration of front teeth.

The department of pediatric dentistry provides treatment and preventive care for children. Diagnosis and treatment of dental caries and its complications, as well as treatment of the oral mucosa and periodontium in children, have specific age-specific considerations. A pediatric dentist, working with an orthodontist, plans treatment based on the timing of tooth eruption to prevent the development of dental and jaw abnormalities. Fissure sealants with modern materials (Fissurit, Ketaс-molar, etc.) are widely used to prevent and treat dental caries complications.

The department of orthodontics provides prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of various orthodontic abnormalities in children and adults using modern methods. During the primary dentition, patients receive pre-applied treatment and preventive measures; elimination of bad habits; oral hygiene; consultation with an ENT specialist; treatment of mouth breathing; recommendations for surgical interventions (plasty of the frenulum of the upper lip and tongue and post-surgical correction of the hard palate after uranoplasty). Recommendations for parents on a calcium-rich diet; collaboration with a speech therapist to develop correct pronunciation of speech sounds; and consultation with an orthopedist to restore the child's correct posture. The department currently widely uses braces to treat malocclusions, utilizing additional diagnostic methods such as orthopantomography and Orthofos 3D X-rays.

The X-ray department is equipped with SIEMENS equipment (Germany). The Stomatology center is capable of obtaining targeted, panoramic, and 3D X-ray images. GALILEOS implant software integrates implant treatment planning with 3D X-ray data, allowing for precise implant placement according to all requirements. The device is ideal for use in endodontics, orthopedics, implantology, and orthodontics.

The Stomatologcal center’s specialists participate in international conferences and scientific seminars and work closely with dentists worldwide. Specialization, training, and experience exchange take place in Germany, Turkey, Japan, China, and other countries. The Stomatological center hosts conferences and symposia for experience exchange.
