In accordance with the Program approved by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan dated January 5, 2026, on cultural and sporting events and competitions dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the Independence of Turkmenistan, in the Year of “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of purposeful winged horses” on April 19, 2026 as part of the Month of Health and Sports, a running competition titled “Sport is the Source of Health and High Spirit” was held at the stadium “Ashgabat” organized by the Ashgabat Secondary Medical School named after I.Gandi.
The event was held jointly with the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan, the National Center of Trade Unions of Turkmenistan, the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan, and the Central Council of the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Mahtumkuli, Youth physical education and sports organization of Turkmenistan with the participation of students from secondary vocational schools of the cities of Arkadag, Ashgabat and the Ahal velayat.
By unanimous decision of the jury, the following prize-winning places were determined:
100 meters among boys: 1st place – Ashgabat financial and economic secondary
vocational school
2nd place – Specialized banking school of the Central Bank of
Turkmenistan
3rd place – Agro-industrial secondary vocational school in
Ashgabat
100 meters among girls: 1st place – Ashgabat Energy secondary vocational school
2nd place – Arkadag city medical secondary school named after
Sachly Dursunova
3rd place – Agro-industrial secondary vocational school in
Ashgabat
2000 meters among boys: 1st place – Agro-industrial secondary vocational school in
Ashgabat
