The International center of internal diseases (ICID) is a modern multifunctional medical center, where patients are provided with modern examinations and treatment. The center has consultative and diagnostic, proctological, urological, therapeutic, nephrological, rehabilitation departments, a hemodialysis department, as well as an intensive care unit, a clinical and biochemical laboratory and a physiotherapy department.
The center's consultative and diagnostic department is located on the 2nd floor of the center, where patients can be examined and consult with specialists such as a urologist, nephrologist, therapist, cardiologist, neurologist, endocrinologist, gynecologist, proctologist, surgeon, etc. The department has ultrasound device Aplio a450 from the leading Japanese company "Toshiba", an echocardiograph Accuson 300 PE from the German company "Siemens", and an electrocardiograph Cardioline. Bronchoscope, esophagogastroduodenoscope, and colonoscope of the Japanese company "Fujifilm" are of great importance in conducting endoscopic diagnostics of diseases.
In the urology department of the center, patients with diseases of the kidneys, urinary tract and male genital organs are examined, including endoscopic, conservative treatment, surgical treatment by laparoscopic and open techniques using medical equipment: Karl Storz, Dornier, Boston Scientific, Medtronic, Covidien, Ethicon, Siemens, Olympus, produced by world companies.
In the urology department, operations are performed by endoscopic, laparoscopic, remote and open techniques.
One of the main requirements of today is the treatment and diagnosis of patients by minimally invasive methods. In accordance with these requirements, with the help of modern equipment, the department successfully treats various types of urolithiasis by endoscopic and percutaneous methods. Percutaneous nephrolithotripsy is highly effective in the treatment of large coral stones and multiple kidney stones. Mini percutaneous nephrolithotripsy is widely used to remove stones in the upper parts of ureter. Endoscopic ureterolithotripsy is widely and effectively used in patients with stones in the middle and lower parts of ureter. Transurethral cystolithotripsy is an effective method of removing stones from the bladder. In the operating room for lithotripsy, using Litostar Wariostar equipment from the German company "Siemens", remote crushing of stones and their removal from the kidneys and urinary tract is performed. In addition, for common diseases of the urinary tract, including congenital ones, such as ureteral stenosis, such operations as endoscopic retrograde and antegrade ureteropyelotomy are mainly performed. For the treatment of prostate adenoma in men, modern methods are used – TURP adenomectomy, transurethral laser and bipolar enucleation. For solitary renal cysts, laparoscopic cystectomy is used. Operations to strengthen the urinary tract are performed for urinary incontinence in women.
Proctology department of the center uses innovative methods of treating proctological and general surgical diseases. Hemorrhoidopexy operations by Longo method, Gabriyel-I, Gabriyel-II with the help of the scalpel "Ultracision harmonic", lateral internal sphincterotomy, resection of chronic epithelial coccygeal fistulas, sphincterolevatorplasty, surgery by Tirish method. In addition, in patients with general surgical diseases, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, echinococcectomy, appendectomy are performed, operations are performed for inguinal and ventral hernias.
Therapeutic department of the center specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, respiratory, cardiovascular systems. Patients undergo endoscopic, radiological, ultrasound examinations, as well as blood tests for Helicobacter pylori and the necessary bacteriological studies. A complete outpatient examination of patients leads to a reduction in the length of hospital stay for patients.
Nephrology department and hemodialysis department of the center are designed to treat patients with chronic kidney diseases, systemic and other diseases with nephrological damage. The department treats arterial hypertension, renal anemia, kidney damage in diabetes mellitus, proteinuria of unknown etiology, signs of renal failure in systemic diseases. In addition, the department uses extracorporeal methods of blood purification for patients with acute and chronic renal failure. Fresenius 5008 S CorDiax device facilitates the implementation of such methods as hemodialysis, hemofiltration, hemodiafiltration, plasmapheresis.
Rehabilitation department of the center is designed to treat patients with cerebrovascular and peripheral nervous system disorders. Patients are treated with medications in combination with physiotherapy methods. These are mainly acupuncture, therapeutic massage, balneotherapy and various physiotherapeutic procedures. In addition, the center provides patients with medicinal teas made from various medicinal plants, which also have a healing effect, based on the multi-volume scientific encyclopedic book "Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan" by Hero Arkadag.
Clinical laboratory of the center conducts general, biochemical, immunological blood tests, hormone and blood clotting tests using automatic analyzers from leading countries of the world. With the help of modern equipment, a wide range of studies related to diseases of the internal organs, kidneys and urinary tract are carried out. This creates ample opportunities for obtaining research results that are important during surgery and in the intensive care unit. This also provides great opportunities for expanding services for patients undergoing examinations and receiving treatment on an outpatient basis. The laboratory maintains close contacts with laboratories and scientific-clinical centers of other medical centers in the country, which ensure the conduct of work at the level of a single system, exchanging mutual experience on various issues.
Intensive care unit consists of 6 beds, provided with all the necessary equipment, the main task of which is to provide intensive and resuscitation care to seriously ill patients. In addition to providing care to seriously ill patients, various modern methods of pain relief are used during surgeries, diagnostic examinations and providing intensive medical care to patients urgently taken to the hospital. Indicators of ventilator are connected to centralized monitoring station equipped with a computer program, which contains all information about the patient's condition – blood pressure, respiration and heart rate 24 hours a day. This system facilitates the provision of emergency care in emergency situations. The department is also fully equipped with cardiac monitors, ECG, infusion pumps, perfusors and portable X-ray and ultrasound equipment.
Surgical department consists of 3 operating rooms and is designed for simultaneous operations in different areas. Operating rooms are equipped with innovative, advanced medical technologies that allow doctors to perform multifaceted, complex operations and reduce the frequency of postoperative complications. A complex of sterilization equipment that meets international standards is installed here. Innovative endoscopic devices are designed to perform minimally invasive surgeries. With their help, complex operations can be performed with small incisions, which contributes to the rapid recovery of patients. X-ray equipment takes high-precision images and helps determine the correct course of the operation.
