The center has branches that have no analogues in the country.
The center’s consultative and diagnostic department is equipped with the latest advances in healthcare, including computed tomography, nuclear magnetic resonance, X-ray fluorography, spirography, ultrasound examination, electrocardiography, fibrogastroduodenoscopy, bronchoscopy and other equipment that has no analogues in the completeness of detection of changes in the human body. This is one of the necessary conditions for a complete diagnosis of the disease and treatment. The mobility of the portable X-ray equipment used in the center significantly facilitates accurate diagnosis of diseases on site for injured citizens with limited mobility.
In the center, The National Center for Reproductive Health is located here. The main areas of activity of this service are: the study of women's reproductive health, problems of female and male infertility, screening of pregnant women to prevent congenital and acquired diseases, as well as training of women belonging to "risk groups", including those with a history of pregnancy loss before the next pregnancy.
For the first time in Turkmenistan, the Center has created a scientific and clinical department of pediatric and adolescent pathology. This department is intended for girls aged 15–18 years, and its purpose is the early detection of genitourinary diseases, treatment, consultation and, if necessary, referral to appropriate specialists of teenage girls. In addition, the main task of this department is the promotion of a healthy lifestyle and monitoring of reproductive health. For the first time in the country, a stationary hospital was opened diagnostic department. The main goal of the department is timely diagnosis of diseases and provision of emergency care. For this purpose, modern diagnostic methods are used, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging. The department has a specialized room equipped with the necessary medical supplies and high-quality equipment for providing emergency care in shock situations.
The center houses the only pediatric toxicology and hemodialysis department in the country. The department is equipped with equipment from the German company Fresenius Medical Care, the Multifiltrat 5008S artificial kidney apparatus, the Drager artificial lung ventilation apparatus, monitors, and infusion ultrasound machines. The department treats acute poisoning, and provides hemodialysis to children with acute renal failure and pregnant women. Children suffering from chronic renal failure undergo chronic dialysis. The donation of the most modern dialysis equipment, “Dialog+” from B. Braun of the Federal Republic of Germany, to the toxicology and hemodialysis department of our center by a charitable foundation named after our doctor Arkadag was received with great enthusiasm by medical workers. These hemodialysis devices play an important role in the treatment of patients with kidney failure by means of hemodialysis, improving their quality of life and prolonging its duration.
For the first time, the center has opened a department for the development and early intervention of children with 18 beds, which, together with UNICEF, is carrying out significant work in Turkmenistan to implement the tasks set out in the National Strategy for the Development of Young Children for 2020-2025 and is also a methodological training center. The goal of this area is to ensure the child's right to fully develop his or her potential, through the comprehensive influence of the family on his or her development.
Thanks to the efforts of our esteemed Arkadag, a solid foundation has been laid for cooperation with the Federal Republic of Germany in key areas of healthcare, and this joint large-scale and systematic activity is currently yielding impressive results.
The work carried out at the Scientific and Clinical Center on early diagnostics of hip dysplasia by a specialist from the Federal Republic of Germany, Vincent Frimberger, head of the department of pediatric orthopedics in Munich, who took part in the VIII Turkmen-German forum on healthcare held in 2019, aroused great interest. Under his direct supervision, the research work on the topic of "Improving the diagnostics and treatment of hip dysplasia in children" was completed. Based on the study, it was shown that the introduction of early diagnosis of hip dysplasia using ultrasound in all maternity hospitals in the country and early correction of the identified pathology play an important role in the prevention of disability. Cooperation in this area continues, and every year our center introduces new treatment methods and complex operations with the participation of German specialists together with pediatric traumatologists and orthopedists. This year, together with German specialists, a new research project entitled "Study of the results of orthopedic methods for treating spastic contractures in cerebral palsy" was approved.
The practice of treating acute leukemia in children is carried out in accordance with the German protocol in cooperation with Professor Udo Kontny, Head of the Children's Clinic at Aachen University, Department of Children's Oncology and Stem Cell Transplantation. As a result of the treatment carried out according to the "ALL BFM - 95" protocol, good results were achieved in increasing the duration of remission.
In accordance with the resolution of the IX Turkmen-German forum "On the implementation of the project on the prevention of malignant neoplasms of the cervix", early detection and treatment of malignant neoplasms of the cervix are successfully implemented in our country.
As part of international cooperation, obstetricians and gynecologists from the Ludwig Maximilian Clinic Gross-Hadern in the Federal Republic of Germany and pediatric surgeons from the Charité Clinic exchanged experiences.
As part of the implementation of the plan for the implementation of the "National Strategy for the Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases in Turkmenistan for 2021-2025", our center has established molecular genetic diagnostics of spinal amyotrophy and children with this disease are given the opportunity to be treated with the innovative drug "Evrisdi", and children diagnosed with hemophilia A - with the drug "Gemlibra", which give good results.
The center's pediatric surgery departments use modern methods of diagnosing and treating Hirschsprung's disease, and new surgical tactics for treating bladder exstrophy have been introduced.
The center widely uses laparoscopic surgeries: pylorotomy for pyloric stenosis, abdominal cystectomy, nephrectomy, appendectomy and contact laser lithotripsy of the bladder is introduced.
The center began performing cardiac surgeries on children: closure of patent arterial tributaries, drainage of the pericardial cavity, and plastic surgery of atrial and ventricular septal defects.
Caring for the future of your child is one of the integral human qualities. Turkmenistan can be called a country of happy childhood, a country where the most cherished dreams come true.
We would like to thank the National Leader, Lukman-Arkadag and our esteemed President for the opportunity and patronage of the healthcare system to ensure a happy life for our children, who are our future,
May our Hero Arkadag, our Arkadagly Serdar be healthy and live long, and their noble deeds, which are of national importance and benefit the country, will always be blessed with success!
