Children's Health and Rehabilitation Center named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov

The Children’s Health and Rehabilitation Center named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, established under the initiative of our Hero-Arkadag, provides comprehensive rehabilitation for children who have received specialized treatment for various non-infectious diseases and injuries. The center is dedicated to early development, education, and nurturing the personal qualities of children in need of care and guardianship, while also stimulating their mental and physical development.

The headquarters of the Charitable Foundation for Assisting Children in Need of Guardianship, is located within this center. This unique multi-system facility, built under the patronage of our Hero-Arkadag, serves as the foundation for the charity's work. All services at the center, named in honor of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, are offered free of charge, funded by the charity foundation. Our initiatives are conducted at an international level, grounded in the latest scientific advancements and supported by state-of-the-art medical and rehabilitation equipment.

The center boasts modern facilities essential for coordinating the rehabilitation of children with disabilities and ensuring their integration into everyday life. It comprises a complex of four buildings: an office building, two kindergartens with capacities of 150 and 100 children, and a dedicated health and rehabilitation department, all spanning a total area of 16.3 hectares. Equipped with innovative medical devices, the center ensures effective treatment for children during their recovery, while providing ample opportunities for their upbringing, education, and recreation.

Children admitted to the center are closely monitored by a dedicated team of specialists and educators, including a speech therapist, sign language therapist, neurologist, rehabilitation specialist, psychiatrist, and professionals from the early development and intervention department. The health status of each child is assessed using ultrasound, ECG, radiography, and electroencephalography (EEG) in the diagnostic and consulting department. Additionally, an individualized evaluation is conducted by an audiologist, otolaryngologist, dentist, immunologist, nutritionist, and cardiorheumatologist. Based on this comprehensive assessment, tailored health and rehabilitation procedures are prescribed. Each treatment phase lasts between 10 and 20 days and is repeated as necessary.

The primary goal of the center's specialists is to enhance motor skills, visual and auditory abilities, and concentration among the children, while also facilitating their interaction with healthy peers. All departments are equipped with specialized rooms for physical therapy, early development, and early intervention, creating an environment that fosters positive outcomes. Children are also introduced to foreign languages as part of the kindergarten curriculum.

The center features a phyto-bar, where visitors can enjoy various herbal teas, which enhances the overall effectiveness of the treatment. Guided by the comprehensive scientific encyclopedic work «Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan» by our Hero-Arkadag, we offer therapeutic and wellness procedures such as baths, pools, and inhalations. These therapies are particularly beneficial for the musculoskeletal system and contribute to the children's overall development.

The kindergarten at this center, with a capacity of 100 places, is equipped with versatile beds and furniture designed for the comfort of both healthy children and those with developmental disorders. By creating a homelike environment, we help children adapt more easily to the center's stationary conditions.

The kindergarten features several specialized devices and toys aimed at enhancing speech development. Among these is a «speech therapy box», developed in leading countries, which is designed to improve speech skills. The speech therapist's room also includes specialized music sets, massage and exercise balls, a sound alphabet board, and various rubber figures that facilitate language exercises and strengthen biting and chewing skills. Non-verbal sound toys are used to help restore different types of speech disorders related to hearing loss, while interactive toys that mimic animal sounds aid in developing attention and sensory awareness.

In the center’s third building, there is an additional kindergarten with a capacity of 80 places for healthy children, alongside a 70-place facility tailored for children with specific needs. This space features conversational and musical centers for specialists working with visually impaired children, as well as tactile development complexes and specialized equipment for partially sighted children. Colorful game light projectors are also employed as valuable tools in the rehabilitation process.

Currently, many children are undergoing rehabilitation and restorative treatment, benefiting from the extensive resources provided by dedicated teachers and doctors who have received professional training in developed countries. The heartfelt gratitude of caregivers to the National Leader of the Turkmen people and the President of Turkmenistan is profound, as their children receive care at this modern rehabilitation center funded by the Charity Foundation. Supporting the healthy development of children truly represents the highest form of humanism.
