Sanatorium «Bayramaly»

The sanatorium «Bayramaly» is located in Bayramaly city on the right bank of the River Murgap in Mary velayat. The sanatorium was opened in 1933 but in 2010 its buildings were reconstructed and the two new buildings each for 250 beds conforming to the world standards were put into operation. At present the sanatorium is able to receive simultaneously 800 guests. The sanatorium is popular not only in our country but also outside of the country.

The sanatorium is notable for its high curative properties due to its natural and geographical features, its location and its water. The unique feature of the sanatorium is its location at a latitude of 62 degrees north and at longitude between 37 and 40 degrees east, and at an altitude of 242 meters above sea level, the equivalent of the ratio of solar UV emission falls on the territory where Bayramaly city is situated. Spring, summer and autumn are known to be a favorable climatic condition for effective treatment. Aerotherapy (treatment of disease with fresh air), heliotherapy (treatment of disease by exposure of sunlight) are distinguished features of the effective treatment in the sanatorium.

The diagnostic department is supplied with up-to-date equipment comforming to the world standards. Therapeutic physical exercises are done in the gym. Acupuncture, massage, therapeutic applications are performed and physiotherapy, electrophoresis, (medical) treatment by diet and mineral baths are provided in the treatment department. In the sanatorium the use of the bath of hot sand of the Garagum Desert is introduced in the treatment of certain diseases.

The sanatorium provides treatment for patients with diseases of the kidney and the urinary tract, the cardiovascular system, the musculoskeletal system, glomerulonephritis, chronic diffuse glomerulonephritis (of hypertonic form, latent form, hematuria form), chronic nephritis, chronic pyelonephritis in a period of remission, ischemic heart disease of functional class I-II, essential arterial hypertension (of degree I-II), symptomatic hypertonia, aterosclerotic cardiosclerosis, and also for patients who has experienced myocardial infarction (on the expiry of 6 months).

The sanatorium treatment is contra-indicated: for patients with acute glomerulonephritis of all kinds, subacute glomerulonephritis of all kinds, chronic diffuse glomerulonephritis of all kinds, renal amyloidosis of all kinds, renal tuberculosis, nephrolithiasis, polycystic kidney, hydronephrosis, ischemic heart disease of functional class III- IV, arterial hypertension (severe degree), an acute period of infectious diseases, malignant neoplasms, bleeding.

The sanatorium services are rendered year-round.
